get tuned in...
I miss my family.
I miss my friends.
Sigh…
Well, one month had just passed by. Winter is coming, my ‘polar bear’ days are coming. Will soon be seeing nothing but white-colored objects everywhere. Russian winter, here I come! I WILL ‘tame’ you, just give me timeJ
You’re now connected to the freezing Russian bear network.
#1: Excursion around Moscow with all pre-med people
This was quite some time ago but it was a great excursion which made us adore this city we’ll be in for the 6 years or so. We didn’t really know where we went because the tour guide was explaining in Russian with us knowing very little of their beloved language. But we went to a highland, Red Square, toured the Kremlin from the outside, walked in a park etc. Moscow is indeed a very unique city with structures both modern and antique all around. How I wish my family and friends were with me to enjoy this…
#2: Malaysian Chinese pot-luck party
There’re 28 of us here. So, we had a little party where each room had to prepare a dish. Some made chicken, some potatoes etc. My room was to cook egg. Anyhow, anyway we want it. Yes, egg, how hard can that be right? We made omelet. Sounds easy huh? No, it isn’t. Let me give you a SPECIFIC explanation. We fried onion omelet, used the omelet to wrap tuna, cabbage, chicken and sausages. Well, during show time, let me tempt you: we had curry chicken, beer chicken (yes, Guinness Stout to be exact), fish fillet, potato+meatball, veggie soup which tastes like shark fin soup, veggie and my beloved omelet. Superb food I can say! Yummy…
#3: ‘Aidil-vali’ celebration
Aidil-vali, as in Hari Raya Aidilfitri+Deepavali. Haha. It’s a Malaysian students affair, with the ambassador there and I met the astronaut!! Unfortunately we didn’t have time to take a photo with him. Sigh… Felt a little like back home because of the people and the performances. 80% of us were in traditional or formal wear, so judge by yourself-lah.
LOL. Everyone from my hostel was VVIP on that day coz we’re later than the ambassador and all the other dignitaries. Mainly caused by the heavy traffic……and girlsJ
#4: “Hipotesis diterima.”
Remember that phrase? The one-and-only phrase we love to write in our experiment reports back then in secondary school regardless whether we knew the results or fake them etc.. Hmm, I cook over here and my cooking isn’t that bad due to the “experiences” I had back home. LOL. Well… urm… my room mate decided to cook chocolate chicken after eating beer chicken the other day. Milo chicken to be exact. Yes, MILO, the drink that most students back home take everyday before school. She didn’t have a recipe on it. My job was to fry the chicken. It smelt real good and tasted so good and crispy before my dear chicken went into the potion. They were crying when they swam in that chocolate sea. *speechless* I shall not continue any further or my intestines will start their version of tug-of-war.
Moral of the story: NEVER try cooking without a recipe, please…
#5: me, myself and i
Nothing much happening so far except for tests and more tests everyday. Just finished the 1st control for Russian language. Can now understand a bit of what people around are talking. Yay me!
Went shopping for groceries, ended up suffering from backache and muscle pains. Talking bout injuries, I’ve got a few major cuts on my fingers. First was a tiny cut on my 2nd finger. Then, another on the 3rd finger when I tied the plastic bag used to keep the broken glass pieces-blood started oozing out and when I ran back to my room, blood was dripping-that was how serious it was. Few days back, another cut on the 2nd finger when I was cutting bread. I was very careful, but… don’t worry, I’m fine. Currently a fan of a few tv series obtained from friends due to the lack of reading materials e.g. Grey’s Anatomy and Prison Break. Watched Rob-B-Hood last week, nice movie with the super-cute baby. Haha.
That’s all for now. It’s been a super long entry.
To my friends back home, do keep in touch. Really long to meet you next summer. Take care! Da-sweedanya!

here i am...
Transportation here is pretty convenient, as long as you know where you’re going. Just yesterday, my friends and I were slightly lost when we tried going shopping all by ourselves, without any seniors’ guide. We went to the wrong metro station, but it’s ok coz we found a way, a longer route to get to the destination which required changing of metro lines, from red to the orange line. We knew our plan very well. Decided to go for it. Ended up going to the wrong exits and didn’t dare go out. Turned back, took the other exits, look at the words and colors. This routine repeated a few times and finally... we found the orange line!! We’re laughed our heads off after our ‘adventure’. We realized that each metro station here has different designs. None has the same. Then to get to the shopping place, which has Mega [ΜΕΓΑ] (something like Mid Valley but way bigger), IKEA, Ashan [АШАН] (like Carrefour, bigger as well) and 2 other outlets; which is like a place where you can get everything under one roof, there’s this free shuttle bus from the metro station. Sounds good huh? Ever wondered how sardine fish feel in the can of sardines? Well, that’s how it is in that bus! It’s like survival of the fittest concept where you gotta push your way in, regardless of whether you’re a girl/guy, young/old. Just keep pushing, pushing and pushing. That’s the way! To get back from the shopping place, we decided to get a van with the amount of things we got. And then it’s another ‘adventure’ standing in the cold (3oC) waiting for this 226 bus. Waited…waited...waited. 295, 225, 671, 28, 1 passed. God, where’s 226? The minute we wanted to give up, aha! 226!! Ran up the bus and went back to the hostel.
I think I’ve bore you people enough, so, I’ll stop here for now! Take care people! Love you!
Lotsa love from,
Ђзх Джuен Веu (my Russian name:p)

Anyway, I'm currently very VERY annoyed with the drivers around me-not that I'm a perfect driver but, I do consider myself a pretty safe one. Don't believe, scout around Ipoh for me.
I don't really understand what drivers these days are thinking! The more I see them, the more I feel like bashing them and banging their cars off the road but, I can't do that coz I so love the car I'm driving now, not my own though.
What these stupid drivers do include
- honking for no specific reasons and especially when they're behind a P driver like me and my friends
- simply changing lanes without putting signals
- ALWAYS on the wrong lanes and try to rectify it
- try to show off their Formula One skills
- thinking that the road is theirs, especially people with HUGE cars
- cross the roads when they see a P sticker on the car coming near
- forever thinking they're on the main road
- show hand signals when you're a little slow
- driving on emergency lanes
Listing these really make my blood boils, especially when I've gone through all of them and even got involved in a minor accident when this cranky security guard van came at the roundabout, they were on the wrong lane and their big, old junk kissed my bumper! It's not my fault at all but since I was a lady driver, with a P sticker, the whole bunch of lousy guards came down and started scolding, insulting..all those stuff!
These drivers should really be sent back to driving school, or be punished heavily - tonnes of summones and take the license away! We the P drivers are forced to be ganas at times, thanks to these 'great' drivers as our guide. If we're still as soft as what we were in driving school, driving that Kancil, I'm quite sure that we're gonna be stuck at a junction for a few hours or so, or get honked a thousand and one times etc
So, to the CDL drivers on the road, stop cursing us P drivers coz you people are the main reasons why most accidents happen, YOU people turned us to 'superb' drivers in Malaysia; PLEASE use your signals - they aren't there for some sort of deco in your dear car, stick to the right lane - plan where you wanna go!
For goodness sake! STOP honking, cursing, scolding us P drivers - weren't you once like that? weren't u once driving in a L (lembu) car????
Think for yourself! PLEASE!!!!
I am seriously annoyed with all my other P driver friends..
